Stay at Home Mom Preview

Posted on May 10, 2007February 10, 2011by sarah

I am off today. The boy and I are going to have a play day.Jena had a morning commitment and I just decided to take the entire day off, rather than have a hectic morning, drive him to Clemmons and then be all frazzled for my afternoon. So, that’s the reason. Not that I have […]

It all comes down to this…

Posted on May 9, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

My kids are taking the AP Calculus exam this morning. It feels like a GIANT weight being taken off my chest. I think they will do well, but I won’t know until July.I’ll be sure to post the results when they come. Back to my “morning off”….

Revisiting Sleeplessness

Posted on May 6, 2007February 10, 2011by sarah

This weekend has been awful. We have reason to believe that Sir Isaac Lidbom is teething. Here’s what makes us think that:1. he drools EVERYWHERE.2. he chomps down HARD on your finger, upon insertion.3. he’s ULTRA cranky4. he just won’t sleep. We’ve tried everything. He’s been chewing on ice cold teething rings, fingers, and toys. […]

Should I be worried?

Posted on May 6, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

I found this scrawled on the side of one of the AP Free Response Questions. Guess it didn’t go so well.

Weekend Project #2

Posted on May 5, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

My second (and probably more pressing) weekend project is to grade 25 AP exams. Well, the Free Response section, that is. The multiple choice is done (and was about 50 times easier). My kids take the exam on Wednesday, so I can’t really procrastinate this activity (which is EXACTLY what I’m doing right now!). There’s […]

Weekend Project #1

Posted on May 5, 2007February 10, 2011by sarah

This weekend, I am attempting to move the boy to his crib. He’s finally sleeping consistently in the night and pretty consistently for naps during the day, so I figured, it’s time to move from the bedroom. He’s gone from:1. sleeping whenever and wherever we could possible get him to sleep (mostly in someone’s arms or […]

From the Back to the Front

Posted on May 3, 2007February 10, 2011by sarah

This morning, Isaac was playing on his tummy in the living room. I came in to check on him and he had rolled over onto his back. Usually, he starts screaming at this. I started to reach down to flip him back over, but before I could, he did it on his own. He can […]

I don’t want to work….

Posted on April 30, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

…I want to bang on my drum all day… (that’s a song lyric, I don’t really want to bang on a drum. But, it’s true that I don’t want to work.) Anyhooo….Here’s a quick run down of events since the last post. Um, there was friday. It was friday. I taught school. Then, I got […]
