Posted on April 12, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

Vacation is over. Julie and Kyle are back in NY. Tomorrow, I go back to school. It’s just a teacher workday, but it’s still BACK. And the end of the long awaited holiday break. I’m sad now.

Happy Easter

Posted on April 11, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

Happy Easter! (I already covered that)…. Today is Julie and Kyle’s last day (unless you count tomorrow morning before they leave to go home. I don’t). We’ve been to the zoo and it was packed out. We celebrated Easter (actually, Easter Eve. We ate at the Waffle House. No one got waffles, though. We played […]

Good Friday

Posted on April 9, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

Happy Good Friday! Julie and Kyle have been here for a few days now. Yesterday, SarahPowers came to visit us and we had pizza, and slush puppies, and toured downtown Winston-Salem, and had a surprise birthday party for Julie, and played Trivial Pursuit (and won) and that’s it. Today we went to the zoo. It […]

I almost forgot: we saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yesterday. It was awesome. I highly recommend it. It’s a little out of the ordinary and requires you to think out of the normal movie boundaries somewhat.

Prizes

Posted on April 4, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

I got a call this weekend that I won a door prize from Borders, from last weekend’s “Educator’s Appreciation Day”. We picked it up today. It was a “gift pack” containing: a sandbucket and shovel a coupon for a free tai chai intro? a brazilian cd sampler some tissue paper (wrapped still) a $10 borders […]

April 1st

Posted on April 1, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

It’s April Fool’s Day. I’m not sure if any of my kids will even know that, much less, have the “holiday spirit” to try anything. That would require effort and planning. This is also my 4 year anniversary of moving to North Carolina. As I reflect back, I’m amazed at how things have sure changed. […]
