We had a two hour delay this morning for NO APPARENT REASON. The weather was bad Saturday night. And then all the ice was dryed up by the afternoon sun yesterday. Then, in the middle of the evening, I received an email saying that school was delayed. Now THAT is precaution.
It made me look fondly back at my days in blustery Western NY, where school was only delayed if there was more than a foot per hour accumulation overnight. Cancellations were reserved for extreme circumstances.
It’s ridiculous down here. Silly North Carolineans.
