I am taking some FHS students to Efland, NC for a retreat this weekend. They are the same students that went to camp with me this summer at the “Student Athlete Summer Institute”, or SASI as we like to call it. It’s a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to seeing other coaches and kids from the summer.
Let’s see what else:
Only 3 more classes and I am DONE. A real teacher!
I had my 2nd observation on Tuesday. It was supposed to be a surprise but my mentor called me late Monday night and tipped me off. Sweet. It went fine and I received positive feedback. Can’t ask for much more.
My birthday was on Wednesday. TWENTY NINE. eeks. I never really thought I would be 29. And if I did, I didn’t really think I would feel like I do. I suppose I envisioned feeling a bit more like a grown up and not so much like a ginormous kid. Oh well. I got a zillion pounds of various candies for my birthday and I’ve pretty much consumed it all. Bleh!
We won our first game. Good times. We play on Monday and Tuesday and we have a lot of injuries, so we’ll see how that goes.
