Let it Ice

We had our first school cancellation today. There’s about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch of ice on everything outside. It’s nice.

The ice is Lucy’s worst enemy. She runs out onto the deck to go in the backyard and slides all over the place. This makes her quite apprehensive about trekking the staircase. Many times, she just sits at the top for 20 minutes and then comes back in. We have discovered that in these cases, a bladder accident may occur at a later time.

Anyhow, school is cancelled and I’m going to use today to finish making cookies, make a handout for my students and clean the house.
