fpp coneflower obsession begins.

one day, i was just scrolling through instagram, when a post about a paper pieced coneflower caught my attention. it would change my life. i scoured the internet for this pattern, finally procured it, via an online version of a magazine, and in very short order, had stitched up my first block.

i knew these flowers were going to be incorporated into hazel’s teacher gifts, but this first block was destined for a gift for my friend cynthia. i sort of invented a pattern and turned it into a super cute little drawstring bag. i love it.

next thing i knew, it was my other quilty friend janet’s birthday. i asked around, discovered she liked blue, and churned out another block.

to say i was hooked at this point would be an understatement. i was making these blocks left and right. they are so much fun to fussy cut and use up the tiniest little scraps.
you’ll be seeing more in the coming months.

i also turned janet’s flower into a drawstring bag. 🙂

stay tuned for like 5 or 6 or 7 more fpp flower projects. 🙂
