whelp. we made it. seems like yesterday that this guy came rip roaring into our lives. and now, he’s legally an adult.
it’s been a wild ride. a lot of highs and a lot of lows. but, we seem to be cruising into a good place and i just might have churned out a decent human after all. 🙂
he is smart. polite. generous. responsible. and occasionally funny.
he loves ruby. gaming. gamer bro friends. one of his sisters. and he’s the most die hard bills fan you’ll ever meet. (this was really my main parenting focus).
he is taking an oversized course load at forsyth tech and working part time at krispy kreme. he’s helpful around the house and loves to run errands on our behalf.
the last year has been the best one yet, so i’m hopeful for his future. 🙂
(the girls had cupcakes, some extras i had when i made maya’s sweet sixteen order).
the weekend after his bday, his gamer bro friends descended upon the house, for snacks, mischief, tomfoolery, and of course, gaming. one of his friends absolutely NAILED the birthday gift with a buffalo table smash shirt. hazel used edible markers to color a fondant cutout of a bills logo to put on another gluten free treat, this time an oatmeal creme pie.
i did not do a good job of documenting his birthday, but here’s a shot from dinner with the boys (and hazel, who may or may not be the forementioned “one sister”). both gamer bro friends very intentionally ignored my request to look at the camera.
anyways. the isaaczilla, once a teeny tiny monster baby, is now a man*.
*legally. scientifically, socially, economically… less so. 🙂
