our fam has been fans of the strumbellas since way back in the day when we lived on the road. last year, we had the opportunity to see them live in chapel hill and it was the most fun concert (show, if i’m being pretentious) that i’ve ever been to. so, when they announced their tour dates for 2026, we jumped on tickets in charlotte.
and then we waited patiently for february 23rd. and then we were off. we made a quick stop to a restaurant nearby, where we scarfed down some delicious but expensive (or small portions of) food. from there it was a short walk to the venue. we were so excited we could barely contain ourselves. also. cold.

a few days before the concert, we upgraded our tickets to include a private acoustic set and q & a before the show. it was pretty awesome. i love these guys (and girl).

since the upgraded tickets gave us early admission to the venue, we were sure to camp out on the front row, to get the optimum experience. the opening act was a dude named sam burchfield. we didn’t really know his music but he was a lot of fun and really good.

and then. it was finally time. the show was so so good. the strumbellas are funny and energetic and seem to be having a genuinely great time. we sang along to every single song and loved every last second of the night. we were sad when it was over. i can’t wait to see them again. so. here’s some pics.
