again. still in school. february was less eventful than january.
so you know what that means… i’ll be kicking things off with my boring nutrition and fitness updates. still fighting this super dumb plantar fasciitis. really kind of at the end of my rope. and it’s hard to find gym time with my school schedule. but. we are making it work. trying to stay dialed in while i’m missing my walks and hikes.

my pal at mammoth nutrition started selling protein smoothies, so that’s been my weekly treat lately.

every waking second of my life that isn’t driving kids around or squeezing in a workout was devoted to school. either, actually at school, or doing the dumbest online labs, and trying to catch up on reading and studying. i got As in the first two courses. and then we begain pharmacology and clinicals.

and it was at this time that i came to the conclusion that nursing was not for me. and i withdrew from the program. perhaps i’ll talk more about it at a later date. but the short version is. the program was disorganized and chaotic. and i wasn’t sure i wanted to be a nurse. so putting myself through this intense thing at this time wasn’t worth it. so, the tale of the time i tried to have a third career has come to a close.
in much more exciting news, my baby bro and his baby mama birthed two babies on feb 28. so there’s that. june came first like a champ. louie needed a little extra tlc, which was a bit stressful, but he’s crushing it now.

while i was still in classes, i managed to squeeze in a hangout with my pal sara without an h. since we keep it super classy, we went out to the waffle house and thrift shop in king. i did find some cool stuff at the thrift, but the main takeaway is i didn’t buy this orange sleeveless prison shirt. regret.

i received a care package from my friend Jenn, even if the usps didn’t treat it with much care or concern. fortunately it wasn’t stolen or damaged and i now have a new favorite coffee drinking vessel.

and now. for a bit of miscellany. the girls went with derek to a daddy daughter dance at their church. and hazel’s basketball season continued on and on and on. and anna went to a valentines day party and is also weird.

i actually sewed something. isaac’s pant. so very exciting. hazel made me some post it note art. and the boy has officially embraced all things buffalo sports and ordered himself an alex tuch sabres jersey. so proud.

and lastly. ruby. she had a birthday. seven. the kids have been excited for this one because we are the same age now. you know. dog years or whatever. either way, i think we are both aging well.

and. well. that’s all of february. i would like to report that march is super exciting since i’m not in school anymore but as i type this, it’s not looking like that’s gonna be the case….
