marching along.

look at me. catching up this blog. again. always.
eye roll at myself.

here’s some stuff that happened in march. (it wasn’t super eventful).

we kicked off the month with a championship game for hazel’s baskeball team. i think they went undefeated this season and they won in the finals in a very exciting game. the “awards ceremony” was pretty informal. coach tom was sure to find something super sweet to say about each kiddo. she made a lot of new friends and had a great season.

jake and erika had their babies in february, but the official announcement went out in march, once things had settled a bit. look at those little faces.

before we went to ny to meet the twins, i drove out to raleigh to drop hazel off for a weekend with her pal, ella, who moved away after last school year.

after dropping her (and not staying long because she forbid it), anna and i met up with sarahpowers for some shenanigans. she took us around raleigh to see art, play on playgrounds like children, see giant trolls and eat delicious foods. (then anna drove us home on I-40, while i slept. not sure that’s allowed on her permit, but it happened).

so. i have a lot more time on my hands these days. i hate it. i’m trying hard to keep busy. because i don’t do well with idle time. so. a lot more sewing has been taking place.

hazelnut. proud of this kid. she’s crushing middle school…..

squeezed in a great hangz with the always fun and entertaining Sara without an H. almost always involves cinnamon rolls.

had my first little incident with the jeep. a minor breakdown in the car rider line at anna’s school. followed by a minor breakdown for me, also in the car rider line at anna’s school. it’s been a rough few months for me. and this was just a little straw on the camel’s back situation.

i’ve also locked in pretty hard at the gym. making some progress with the foot. (as i type this, there’s been a setback, but in these moments, things were on the uptick).

tried to lock in hard with diet too. i had a pretty good run. (again. since then, things have taken a turn. but in march i was locked all the way in). i do have favorites. and boring is a lot easier to stick with. i am enjoying an occasional protein smoothie from my pal alex at mammoth nutrition.

and now for the most miscellaneous of the march miscellany. anna’s silly footwear. and a pic of that time when she accidentally made three times as many oatmeal cookies than she needed to. and. ruby. dork.

aaaaannnnnddddd… with one whole day left to go in april, i am getting this march post across the finish line….
