Make that FOUR

Posted on September 12, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

Three Teeth

Posted on September 10, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

Isaac’s third tooth has arrived on the scene. He’s been scraping his bottom two across his top gums for a couple of weeks now, so we knew it was coming. I felt around yesterday and felt the little hard ridge of sharp tooth poking through. The little man is getting so big!!

Ma. Ma.

Posted on September 3, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

Derek and I have been working hard to get Isaac to say “Mama”. We chant it over and over at him and he just continues to grunt and babble on with mostly “eeehh”s and “oooh”s and the occasional D or B sound mixed in. Today, in the middle of one training session, the boy stopped […]

Coughing Genes

Posted on September 3, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

I’m still fighting off what I like to refer to as my “whooping cough”. It’s very frustrating, but whenever I get a cold or a sore throat, it turns into a lengthy bout with an annoying cough that consumes my life. A few years back, I had it for FOUR months. I finally had this […]

Seven Months

Posted on August 24, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

The boy is seven months old today. He’s getting big and smart and coordinated very quickly. I noticed today that he can make a kissing sound. He practices it whilst clearing off the coffee table of all of its inhabitants.(cell phones, cameras, coasters, towels, books…) We are heading to the mountains for a few days to […]

3 Straight…..

Posted on August 22, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

We’ve had three straight “good” days, here at the ranch. The boy seems to be getting into a bit of a routine. He’s been going down for naps and bedtime without much fanfare. He is still waking early from some naps, but sometimes he’ll go back to sleep on the bed with me (a good nap […]

New Job

Posted on August 20, 2007February 9, 2011by sarah

Today is officially my first day on the job. Up until today, it has been summer vacation. But, with teachers in Yadkin County reporting back at 9:00am this morning, I am officially a Stay At Home Mom. It’s weird to think about everyone getting all ready for school. Cleaning their rooms, writing lesson plans, attending […]
