Full Week Ahead

Well, the first two days were cool. I was absolutely exhausted. Nothing can prepare you for 4.5 hours of standing in front of a bunch of Fresh-Outta-Summer teenagers.

But, it looks like I have a decent group of kids. I can already see a few that are destined to retake my class, but I’ll do my best to fix that.

The weekend was relaxing. I did a few hours of modern algebra homework on Saturday. That class is tough. But, I’m even more worried about the methods of teaching math class. We have a LOT of assignments. We’ll see….

Anyhooo… The first full week of ALL kids, no teacher work days starts tomorrow. Wish me luck!

  3. What’s up, home skillet?!!! I am glad that you have good kids, so far. My kids are pretty good apart from just random outburts and neglecting to stay focused!!! lol. Oh, the life of a teacher! Thanks for stopping by and making me feel special! I hope we can definitely get together on Sept. 30. That would be cool. It’d be nice to see Darren again, too. Much love to you and Derek!

  4. Home skillet? Did he just call you a home skillet?

Why home skillet? Why not, oh, collander? Or maybe home collander?

Not to get technical or anything, but i think that’s actually an 80’s thing. Assuming i’m not mis-interpreting the reference.

  8. late eighties. after you were old already.
