every christmas, the sewing comes to a screeching halt and my quilt room turns into santa’s workshop. but, i managed to squeeze in a couple of quick projects before that happened in 2023. (remember, if you will, i’m typing this up over a year later).
firstly, i whipped up a cool ruby star scrappy saw tooth block and attached to an amazon sweatshirt and had myself a cute little quilt themed shirt.
then, after a complete overhaul of our stockings left me in the holiday decor makeover mood, i decided it was time to upgrade my tree skirt. i made this one in 2011, very early in my quilting career, and it was time for a new one. but, i had to act fast, so i opted for a wonky zigzaggy scrappy quilt as you go design.
it came together pretty quickly and i found the most perfect pom pom trim to put it over the top.
i’m pretty happy with it and it adds a lot of chaos to our wacky christmas decor which is just the way i like it. you won’t catch us being fancy over here.
