really the only thing left on the “cool things to do in winston-salem” checklist when brandy had a day off was hanging rock state park. so. that’s what we did.
we decided on the namesake hanging rock trail, which had changed routes since our last visit, adding about a mile round trip. the day was 100% beautiful, and we took our time strolling to the top.
we took ruby. i think she was glad to be included.
at the top, we took ALLLLLL of the pictures.
no trip to the top would be complete without some dangling off what appears to be a very dangerous rock, but is actually very safe. we took turns pulling ourselves up, which looks easier than it is.
anna opted for just sitting/lying on the top. much easier. anyways. we snapped a group pic that would make a cool album cover and then started back down.
it was a great day of adventures. hanging rock never disappoints.
