other world.

our travels from hocking hills to michigan took us through columbus ohio, where derek discovered the other world immersive art experience. it seemed similar to, though not quite as thought out and crazy cool as, meow wolf in santa fe.

but first. we fueled up.

then it was time to get weird. the outside of the building is very unassuming. and it’s in a very desolate and abandoned strip mall. but inside was colorful and psychedelic and strange.

i’ll spare you all of the details. we wandered from room to room. we never really figured out the bigger picture plot.

a few times we sort of figured out things to do (touch, pluck, press, move, etc) to get other things to happen. but mostly we just took photos.

everyone was also very very tired. it was sort of comical.

there were various employees wandering about so in some rooms we were shown what needed to be done to get whatever thing to happen. but it was all also part of some bigger picture puzzle that we never figured out (or even really attempted).

it was pretty fun and weird. and worth the stop. and probably if we had more time and weren’t so tired we might have worked harder at the game. but. we loved the 80s stranger things vibes. and got lots of cool pics.

and then we were off on our merry way…
