SarahPowers

Posted on February 26, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Sarah Powers is my best pal from BHS days, and she is moving to Raleigh with her boyfriend Jack in a few weeks. Yesterday, I went out and saw them as they completed a 4 day long quest for living arrangements. My school sent me to some training in Durham, so it worked out nicely. […]

ANOTHER Snow Day

Posted on February 16, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

We had another snow day today. It was only a teacher work day, no students were coming, but it was still a snow day. And we have to make it up. Pain in my butt. Oh well, I got some stuff done on my parents site and worked out leisurely, and so on and so […]

All My Exes Live in Texas

Posted on February 15, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Derek got us tickets for the George Strait concert in Greensboro last night. We drove out there, went out to dinner and drove to the Colliseum, only to find out it was canceled due to “illness”. We were disappointed, but it’s rescheduled for next Sunday. We’ll try it again. So, we spent our Valentine’s Day […]

Happy Valentine’s Day

Posted on February 14, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Love is in the air… That’s right, it’s Valentine’s Day. If you got a significant other, you love it, if you don’t, you hate it. It’s the way it goes. Derek got me a photo album type book filled with pictures and memorabilia from our engagement through our wedding, until now. It’s pretty cool. I […]

Another Snow Day

Posted on February 12, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Today was yet another snow day. It’s kind of getting old. It’s hard to get the kids settled after days off and especially with just one day until the weekend. And… we’ll have to make it up, with all the rest, and when we do, there will be more kids (they start coming in from […]

Lazy Weekend

Posted on February 8, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Not much going on these days to talk about. School is going alright. Nothing interesting to discuss there. We’ve been working out in the mornings before we go to work and that’s made us extremely tired. We watched Radio on Friday night. I fell asleep (no news there). It was alright. I don’t want to […]

Sad Day

Posted on February 2, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

It’s a sad day for Panther fans in the Carolinas. Lots of talk of “why did he kick it out of bounds?” and “they should have never gone for two”… Oh well, it was a great game and we had a good time. Had some folks over for chips and salsa and guacamole and dip […]

Go Panthers!!

Posted on February 1, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

It’s Superbowl Sunday. The Carolina Panthers are playing the New England Patriots. Had I not moved here, I would cheer for the Patriots, hands down. But now, being a local, I have no choice but to pull for the hometown heroes!! We’re hosting a Superbowl Party to cheer on this year’s underdogs!!

Optional Teacher Work Day

Posted on January 28, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

Monday and Tuesday were full-fledged snow days. Today was and tomorrow will be an “optional teacher workday”. Which means, we can go in and work if we want, or we can use accrued vacation time. Since, I have NO accrued time, I’ll work. 🙂 Actually, it’s great. It gives me time to organize and get […]
