Post Season

Posted on February 11, 2006February 24, 2017by sarah

So, we are done with our regular season in hoops. We won decidedly last night and finished fourth in the conference. We play our first playoff game at home on Monday. We will be playing the same team we beat last night. Should (hopefully) go well. In other news, teaching is going well. I’m enjoying […]

Broken Curse

Posted on October 28, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

It’s all over. The Sox won. In a decisive manner. It was great. And I’m really glad it was only four games, because I sure am losing a lot of sleep, staying up until all hours of the morning, in order to watch these games. I’m eagerly awaiting a cool new Sox sweatshirt that Derek […]

One More

Posted on October 27, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

The Red Sox are one game away. I certainly hope it’s a sweep because I am wasting my life away in front of the television. It’s quite pathetic. Fortunately, I have a job that I don’t have to be on my toes, so it doesn’t matter that I am groggy. Wait, that’s not right, I […]

2-0

Posted on October 25, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

Stayed up late to watch the Red Sox take a 2-0 lead over the Cardinals in the World Series. (In case my site is the only way that you keep up on sports, the Red Sox came back against the Yankees and defeated them in 7 games). Anyhoooooo…. The weekend was restful and productive. We […]

The Curse

Posted on October 6, 2004February 24, 2017by sarah

Stayed up late tonight watching baseball. The Yankees won in the bottom of the 12th, and that sucks. And, the Red Sox are playing on the west coast (currently tied 1-1), so I’ll have to wait until the morning to catch the end of that. I’m a little disappointed with myself for staying up this […]

2004 Biking Begins

Posted on March 13, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

We brought our mountain bikes out of the basement and into the great outdoors for the first time this year. They were happy I think. They’ve been hanging upside down for a very long time. The trip was short and easy, but a good starter exercise. I’m not even bleeding, which is a break from […]

Sad Day

Posted on February 2, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

It’s a sad day for Panther fans in the Carolinas. Lots of talk of “why did he kick it out of bounds?” and “they should have never gone for two”… Oh well, it was a great game and we had a good time. Had some folks over for chips and salsa and guacamole and dip […]

Go Panthers!!

Posted on February 1, 2004February 10, 2011by sarah

It’s Superbowl Sunday. The Carolina Panthers are playing the New England Patriots. Had I not moved here, I would cheer for the Patriots, hands down. But now, being a local, I have no choice but to pull for the hometown heroes!! We’re hosting a Superbowl Party to cheer on this year’s underdogs!!
