i whipped up this quilt on the down low for derek’s mom a little while back. originally, i planned it for christmas, mostly because i thought it would take me until christmas to get it finished. then, it came together pretty quickly and so i gave it to her for her birthday. and maybe a little for christmas. 🙂
i used most of a kumari garden fat quarter pack that i got for half price. it took me awhile to decide on a pattern (as usual), and i like this one, but i actually like the back better. i had the bright idea to make this self-binding (wrapping the backing around to the front). it didn’t go as smoothly as i’d hoped, but i think it looks good. also, please ignore my ridiculously crooked quilt lines. 🙂
