fall florals cake, part three.

about a year ago, my work pal, cynthia, asked if i would make an autumn themed floral cake for her friend’s birthday. i did. and you can see that one here. then, a couple months ago, i made a similar cake for my pal jen’s fortieth birthday. that one is here. well. cynthia asked me if i would be interested in making a third one for another friend’s (80th!!) birthday, and of course i was all in.

i stuck with generally the same color palette, because i love it, but i tried to mix up the flowers a little bit, adding in some new ones and mixing up some techniques. before long, i had another floral wreath in the books. and a giant mess to clean up.

of course, then i took it outside for a RIDICULOUS number of photos. so here is a small fraction of them, which is still slightly ridiculous, but i don’t even care. i love this one.

i don’t even really have all that much to say about this one. cynthia actually made the cake (carrot). i took it from there (cream cheese frosting, stacking, decorating). her pals all loved it. i had no issues with it. i couldn’t ask for more. 🙂
