Posted on September 1, 2008February 24, 2017by sarah

(it helped that derek’s parents confiscated the monster for the afternoon, while we finished). here’s the outcome: (this is the third blue room in the house. the kitchen is royal blue, isaac’s room is little boy […]

Posted on June 26, 2008February 24, 2017by sarah

Posted on May 26, 2008February 24, 2017by sarah

The Battle of the Crab Grass

Posted on September 22, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

Our whole yard has been taken over by crab grass. I tried to keep up with it in our first summer here. And last summer, I managed for awhile, but the war was won towards the end of summer. This year, with a monsterbaby, I was ill-equipped to go to battle, so the crab grass […]

Posted on April 23, 2007February 24, 2017by sarah

So, in the last few weeks, we’ve: 1. mulched the entire front yard natural areas (2 truckloads)2. planted 54 petunias along the front walkway3. planted new grass in the giant circle of dirt that used to be pompous grass* And then, finally, for the first time this season, I mowed. Mowing used to be my […]
