mobility

Posted on December 3, 2010December 3, 2010by sarah

well, the anna baby is 100% mobile. she was utilizing a combo belly crawl and inch worm technique for a week or so, but has developed a nice little rhythmic crawl. an efficient one. shortly after mastering (slightly obtaining?) this skill, she moved on to pulling up. onto everything. which has increased the occurrences of […]

a-n-n-a flannel letters

Posted on November 17, 2010by sarah

made these awhile back to hang in the anna baby’s room. i had been on the search for some letters for her name, but couldn’t decide what i wanted to do. i saw a tutorial for a whole alphabet of these letters that i had filed away for a rainy day. then it hit me… […]

the great sick week

Posted on November 17, 2010by sarah

last monday, isaac got a fever. two doctor visits, several vomits, lots of sleepless nights, hundreds of coughs, much whining and crying and it finally left his poor little body around saturday. here is our week in pics.

anna baby’s quilt

Posted on November 17, 2010February 4, 2011by sarah

yesterday was my birthday. isaac finally went to school in the morning (after a week off from illness). and anna slept for 2.5 straight hours yesterday morning. glorious. anyhow, it freed me up to make some really great progress on her quilt. enough that i was compelled to stay up late last night and finish […]

new and improved robot

Posted on November 11, 2010February 4, 2011by sarah

awhile back, early in my crafting days, i made a robot for isaac. after a couple of years of play time, he’s seen better days. one leg has almost completely fallen off. most of the stitching is pulled and snagged and not looking so hot. and the cheap-o craft felt that i used is all […]

grampa schiavone (aka: peter grampa)

Posted on November 11, 2010February 24, 2017by sarah

yesterday morning, i got a call from my dad in florida, telling me that my grampa had passed away.  he’s been battling alzheimers and other medical problems in these last few years, and had been in the icu for the last couple of weeks after a heart attack.  he never fully recovered.  thankfully he was […]

0.5 years! (and one day)

Posted on November 9, 2010by sarah

yesterday marked 6 calendar months of life for the sweet anna baby. i really really meant to post on time for this milestone, but then isaac stole her 1/2 year birthday thunder by projectile vomiting all day. (note: we took him to the doc’s and it seemed to just be a common bug and he’s […]

halloween, part two. (the nerd).

Posted on November 9, 2010by sarah

as once promised, here are some additional halloween pictures. i did a terrible job of capturing the festivities via digital camera, but thankfully jude was on the scene with her fancy pants camera. she captured some shots of the oldest lid kid, dressed up in his nerd costume which i had NONE of. and a […]

making baby thingz

Posted on November 4, 2010November 4, 2010by sarah

in an effort to keep from losing approximately 3 pacifiers per week, i decided it was time to invest in a clip attaching anna’s pacifier to her (tiny little) person. well, the choices were not aplenty, so i decided i would make my own. and here it is…. we have also been in need of […]

single girl quilt top

Posted on November 4, 2010February 4, 2011by sarah

quite a while back, i got the terrific idea to make a denyse schmidt single girl quilt for the anna baby. ten minutes here, an hour there… and a nice long stretch of time today… and i have completed the 16 blocks, making 4 rings, each with 31 pieces of brightly colored fabric and a […]
