Flowers
Jake and my mom are gone. But, they left behind some beautiful landscaping (including this flower box in our front “yard”)… Back to a nice quiet life — for two weeks, and then school starts again. 13 days, to be exact. Not that I’m counting.
Cavalry Has Arrived
My Mom got here last night to get Jake. She’s staying until Monday morning, and at that time, will pack up the Boy Wonder and head back to NY and our life will resume as normal…

Day one is complete. Yesterday we: Went grocery shopping for kid compliant food Went swimming (twice) Went to Toys ‘R Us for a stupid Teen Titans toy Went to Arigato (Japanese Steakhouse) with Derek’s parents. And we got these Bubba Teeth.

And We’re Off
We are starting our journey to Batavia, NY 14020 in approximately 20 minutes. It will take about 10 hours, with a little cooperation with traffic conditions and limited stops. Until then…. Peace out. Oh, and before I forget, and break my promise…. A big shout out to Doyle Nicholson. 🙂
Emerald Isle
We went to Emerald Isle over the weekend. It was great weather, for the most part. Saturday was a little windy, and we had a rough battle with blowing sand, but we survived. And got exfoliated. 🙂Tomorrow, we are off to NY, to get Jake and bring him to NC. Then…. let the games begin!!!
