isaac has been pretty much cracking me up lately. due to his grasp of the english language and his little independent self, some funny conversations arise… conversation number 1:background: isaac is pretty much potty trained. the only time he ever has an accident is when he’s in the basement playing with his trains. and it’s […]

Bedtime conversations.
Isaac is now in a “big boy bed” (our old queen matress on the floor), so we can use the crib for Lidbom baby 2.0. this means we end up spending a lot of time “helping” him unwind. Last night, I was laying in the dark with him. He was wearing some snowman footie jammies […]
dixie classic fair favorites
on saturday we went to the dixie classic fair. (pictures to come).isaac kept calling it the “ferret”, probably because a few weeks ago, we took care of some animals at a friend’s house and isaac loved the ferret. on the way home, i asked him what his favorite part of the fair was. he thought […]
train names.
isaac has a green (not important to the story) train called “the flying scotsman”… he refers to it as “castle baby”. i have no idea why. but, it’s funny. the end.
language
so, the isaaczilla is currently a talking machine. if i’m in the room, he’s talking to me non-stop. if i’m not in the room, he talks to lucy. or trains. or nobody in particular. it’s cute. the best part is watching him wrestle with the english language. recently, he’s been struggling through “I” vs. “me” […]
greetings…
this morning, i went into isaac’s room, while he was still sleeping, to put away some laundry. lucy followed me in and promptly licked isaac through the slats of his crib, waking him up. i said, “hey buddy”. and he said, “hey sarah”.
we love the moon!!!
isaac loves to find the moon. and point it out to us repeatedly from the moment that he finds it until we get in the house. he gets especially excited when it’s out during the daytime. bonus moon time. he likes to play games with the moon. he’ll move to a new location so that […]
write it down!
isaac is getting super fun these days. his vocabulary is exploding and he’s turning into a little comedian. sometimes intentional, sometimes not. anyhoooo, whenever i’m recounting his adventures to others, i’m often met with the same phrase, “make sure you’re writing this all down, you’ll forget it!”… so, since this blog has pretty much served […]
vocabulary explosion
up until about a week or so ago, most of the things isaac could say were variations of “dah”. his inflection and number of syllables helped us to make out some things, but for the most part, we just nodded along. then, all of a sudden, he’s started saying all kinds of things. it’s really […]
Signature Moves
Telephone call to my parents in NY today: Jake: (enthusiastic) Hello!!! Me: Hi Buddy! Jake: Hi Say-wah! Me: What are you doing? Jake: Oh…. just practicing my Signature Moves. He’s not quite right. In other news… I’m about to embark on the the first full week of students in 2005. I’m just completely unmotivated this […]
