Tomorrow night is my last Ed Psych class. It’s a summer session and it’s been pretty intense. Especially since I haven’t been a college student in a long time. (I’m the adult learner now! I wonder if the “kids” hate me?)…. Anyhow, I just finished my final project tonight (above), and it’s quite a load […]

School’s Out For Summer!
Well, that’s it. It’s over. We graduated the kiddies on Friday and we had a couple of mandatory teacher workdays, but I’m now officially done for the summer. Sort of. I’m teaching summer school in a couple of weeks. Got talked into that somehow. 🙁 We’re getting things ready to go to NY for a […]
News Updates
let’s see…. 1. I officially have been transferred to Forbush High School in Yadkin County, for the start of the ’04-’05 school year. I will, hopefully, also be coaching some sports. 🙂 2. I went to Durham last night, and I met Chris and Jessie’s new son (Christopher Andrew). It was the cutest baby ever. […]
Scantron (And End-Of-Year Testing)
It’s getting near to the end of the year. How do I know?? Standardized Testing. I remember the days of filling in little circles, just to prove to the Department of Education that my school was doing it’s job. “when you get to the word ‘STOP’, do not go on to the next page” “you […]
Takin’ What They’re Givin’…
…cause I’m workin’ for a livin’… I’ve been pretty busy lately. A lot of my planning time @ school has been consumed by other things — testing, reviewing w/ students, makeup work, etc. So, I have been having to *gasp* do work at home. 🙂 Anyhow, yeah, that’s what’s going on. I got pulled over […]
And Now… The Kids
The Kids will be back tomorrow, as we head down the final stretch of the 2003-2004 school year. Here we go….
Back to School
Vacation is over. Julie and Kyle are back in NY. Tomorrow, I go back to school. It’s just a teacher workday, but it’s still BACK. And the end of the long awaited holiday break. I’m sad now.
April 1st
It’s April Fool’s Day. I’m not sure if any of my kids will even know that, much less, have the “holiday spirit” to try anything. That would require effort and planning. This is also my 4 year anniversary of moving to North Carolina. As I reflect back, I’m amazed at how things have sure changed. […]
Training
The school has sent several of us to go to training in Durham today. Long trip. Long day. On the other hand… No students.
“Hey, Woman!”
That’s how a student “addressed” me today. Upon learning that it wasn’t appropriate, he then called me way worse things, as he stormed out. The police came.
