another december brought another birthday for our hazelnut.
ten this time. a full decade of the crazel.
so, smack in the middle of all the holiday feasting, we crammed in a bunch of birthday celebrations. the first such occurrence was lunch with her class. she requested chick fil a nuggets, and was very disappointed when we discovered they had accidentally given me grilled nuggets, but was a trooper about it, possibly because of the buddy the elf krispy kreme donuts for dessert.
for her 10th birthday cake, we thought it would be fun to highlight all of her birthdays of the past, and added in a few extra favorites that never made it onto a cake. it required ALLLL of the colors.
there was peppa pig, thomas the train, tiny chef, balloons, frozen, and paw patrol. we added in minecraft and harry potter and happy chaos.
then it was party time. several of hazel’s closest pals rolled in and ate all the food and squealed and laugh and frolicked and ate all the cake and stayed up late and giggled and ran rampant and all the fun was had.
in the morning, for safe measure, i loaded them all back up with more carbs and straight sugar, in the form of a waffle bar. the nutella caused quite a bottleneck.
she had a great time. and as i type this a year later, its reminding me of whats to come in a few days when we have a repeat performance. might even blog about it soon. hahaha.
