things the boy says…

Posted on December 23, 2010February 4, 2011by sarah

isaac has been saying some pretty good stuff lately… rewind?: while watching the macy’s thanksgiving day parade, he saw the spiderman float and ran to get grampa terry, and said, “grampa turdy, you are not going to believe this. it is amazing. hold on… i just have to fast-backwards to it.” mom v. sarah: lately, […]

christmas cookies: 2010 edition

Posted on December 16, 2010November 23, 2011by sarah

isaac’s preschool christmas party was supposed to be today, but schools across north carolina were canceled because of a bunch of ice falling from the skies and coating the ground. i was in charge of bringing cookies, frosting, sprinkles, et cetera, for the kids to decorate and take home. so, now, i’m stuck with a […]

razzle dazzle gingerbread men.

Posted on December 6, 2010November 23, 2011by sarah

on saturday, a massive snowstorm moved across our area, dropping down almost 3 whole inches. this raised our christmas spirit by 87%, so i offered to make cookies with isaac. he wasn’t interested in the making of cookies, but wanted to decorate more gingerbread like he had with jake over thanksgiving. rather than make gingerbread […]

gingerbread boys

Posted on December 4, 2010February 24, 2017by sarah

last week, for thanksgiving, the new york family traveled down for some festivities. we kept it pretty low key and easy. on thanksgiving day, we went out to michaels and picked up a gingerbread man decorating kit on the cheap and jake and isaac did a fantastic job of decorating them…

the great sick week

Posted on November 17, 2010by sarah

last monday, isaac got a fever. two doctor visits, several vomits, lots of sleepless nights, hundreds of coughs, much whining and crying and it finally left his poor little body around saturday. here is our week in pics.

new and improved robot

Posted on November 11, 2010February 4, 2011by sarah

awhile back, early in my crafting days, i made a robot for isaac. after a couple of years of play time, he’s seen better days. one leg has almost completely fallen off. most of the stitching is pulled and snagged and not looking so hot. and the cheap-o craft felt that i used is all […]

0.5 years! (and one day)

Posted on November 9, 2010by sarah

yesterday marked 6 calendar months of life for the sweet anna baby. i really really meant to post on time for this milestone, but then isaac stole her 1/2 year birthday thunder by projectile vomiting all day. (note: we took him to the doc’s and it seemed to just be a common bug and he’s […]

halloween, part two. (the nerd).

Posted on November 9, 2010by sarah

as once promised, here are some additional halloween pictures. i did a terrible job of capturing the festivities via digital camera, but thankfully jude was on the scene with her fancy pants camera. she captured some shots of the oldest lid kid, dressed up in his nerd costume which i had NONE of. and a […]

pumpkins, cows, and nerds.

Posted on November 1, 2010February 24, 2017by sarah

well, halloween was yesterday. here’s how that went down… first we painted and carved some pumpkins. i had not meant to put this off until the last minute. i bought paint last week with every intention of painting with the boy during one of anna’s 30 minute naps. ambitious, i know. well, that never happened […]
