Casanova

Posted on August 13, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

This morning we decided to check out the local Lewisville coffee shop, Casanova’s Coffees and Fudge. We had the blueberry cinnamon twist flavored coffee. It was yummy. Next time, I’ll definitely try this. There was also a very mini farmer’s market in the same area, featuring homemade bread, cards, birdhouses, flowers, and a couple of […]

Bibliography

Posted on August 12, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

I just sent THE email. The one with the link to the bibliography I did for my one credit independent study. The one that signals the start of “my summer”. No one will own this part. No classes. No moves. No camps. No NY trips. Just me, the house, the dog and the sun. Oh, […]

And in the blink of an eye…

Posted on July 29, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

…. my summer is gone. I got approval for the one credit independent study yesterday. It is due on August 12th. That’s two weeks from today. So, if you figure it is about 40 or 50 hours of intense labor, that’s the equivalent of a part time job. So, I’ll be working away, for the […]

Passed Praxis

Posted on July 20, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

So, I found out last week that I passed the Praxis. I was a little worried. Anyhow, that’s one more hoop out of the way… Two classes left and I’m fully a real teacher. For now, though, I need to figure out what will happen with this missing credit I’ve been fighting with all summer. […]

First Date

Posted on July 19, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

I took Jake on his first date today. Ok, sort of. Derek’s co-worker, Kathy, came to our cookout (we had one) on Saturday. It was there that Jake met her oldest daughter, Jennifer. They hit it off. So, today, Kathy brought Jennifer into work, and Jake and I picked her up. We went to “Pump […]

Our pals, Teresa and Craig, recently adopted this pretty baby from China. Her name is Callie Taylor-Ye Hughes. Mom says she’s a super good baby. She loved watching Jake do his normal routine. That is all.

In Town

Posted on July 14, 2005February 24, 2017by sarah

Jake Paine is in town. We’ve been hanging out, playing video games, eating candy, watching movies… the usual kid-type activities. Not much else going on. We get our old house painted today (and for the next few days I guess). Then, it’s on the market, and we can sell it soon (I hope). That’s it.
