Day 3 – Official Roan Mountain Post
Yesterday, we took the advice of the Duncan family, and headed off to Roan Mountain on the border of NC and Tennessee. We hiked around (hiking, pleading with isaac, cleaned up an accident, sat at the top of the mountain, climbed big rocks, ate candy) for a few hours. The boy is a trooper. And […]
Day 2 – Tweetsie…
Yesterday, we began calling around a bit, to find out hours, prices, etcetera, for some of our potential stops. Upon calling tweetsie, we learned that they were now only open on the weekend (since school starts tuesday – makes sense). Family day
Derek needs to use up some vacation days, so he's been staying home here and there. Today, we took Isaac to the childrens museum and now we are lunching at the mellow mushroom… Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
patterson farms
after church today, we made a spontaneous decision to go to patterson farms to check out the pumpkin patch. it was a little bit crazy, considering the sleep schedule adjustments we were going through due to the time change, but we figured all crabby boys would get over their sleepiness when they saw the wonders […]
belly scratching, by dad.
sometimes, we can get the boy to sit still for a couple minutes by scratching his belly. but, let my be clear, it’s only a couple minutes max.
sans dad
derek left this morning for a week long training in orlando. isaac and i are on our own. i think we’ll fare better than last year’s week long training (isaac was 2 months old).
